"A night with Frankie Mayfield"In southern Ontario we are extremely fortunate to have so many great artists emerging all the time. Unfortunately because they are not on radio or doing "big gigs", very few people know about them and so most of them die off relatively quickly. One goal of mine for The 905 is to get you, the people of the 905, acquainted with local talent in an effort to raise awareness of local artists and in an effort to keep groups/artists alive. In this "issue" I have actually interviewed a very talented musician from Hamilton Francesco Mazzuca A.K.A Frankie Mayfield. A little background info: I met Frankie at Polarity's kegger about a month back and I really dug his music. That was the first time I had heard him live and it was very easy to fall in love with his music. Its heart-felt, creative, and very innovative. I spent about 3 hours with Frankie last Saturday filming this interview and on top of everything I have just said about his music, he is a great guy. Almost always has a smile on his face and loves to "fuck around" but is very serious when it comes to his work. I personally believe every type of person will be able to connect with his music. ...And with that said, lets get to the interview.
